NOTE: If you missed MTI's 2010 Mediation-at-Sea cruise to Alaska, plan ahead for our 9th annual cruise, tentatively scheduled for November 2011 from New Orleans to the Western Caribbean. Details will be placed on this webpage when available. Be sure to remain a subscriber of the MTI Monthly Newsletter to be notified when plans are firm.
By popular demand, we are delighted to announce the first Mediation-at-Sea journey to Alaska as MTI's eighth annual cruise — the tradition continues!
Experienced cruisers often say the Alaska itinerary is their favorite, owing to the stunning scenery of the renowned Inside Passage, lined by glaciers and views of the alpine Canadian Rockies.
The 2010 program also includes a scheduling innovation that minimizes time in the shipboard meeting room while gaining certifications in workplace conflict management and mediation.
Featuring . . .
Certification Conference in Managing Workplace Conflict — Normally a 2-day land-based event, the conference is shortened for MTI's Alaska cruise to enable participants to enjoy the stunning scenery even on days at sea. By completing the computer-based version of the training in advance of embarkation, we can limit onboard class time to only two hours (our meeting room has a large picture window, so you won't miss any sights!).
The program is intended for mediators, facilitators, coaches, and other professionals — with trainer certification option. Approved for continuing education credits by several professional groups, including the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA). +More
Meeting with Alaskan mediators — As a reprise of our meeting with Bermudian mediators (see photo) on the 2007 MTI cruise, we are organizing a meeting with mediator colleagues in Juneau on July 5.
Keynote — Weaving Mediation into the Fabric of Organizations with Dan Dana. Free to all who book the cruise with MTI. +More
Workshops — An assortment of one-hour sessions is included free when you book your cruise with MTI. +More
Coaching — Professionally qualified coaches, with a wide range of coaching specializations, will be aboard to offer free coaching sessions to Mediation-at-Sea passengers. Are you a coach? +More
Most programs qualify for Continuing Mediator Education (CME) credits.
All who join the cruise will receive an autographed copy of Managing Differences: How to Build Better Relationships at Work and Home by Daniel Dana, PhD Dr. Dana and wife Susan will be on board.
