Rebecca Armacost has had a distinguished career with over twenty-five years of experience as an executive and senior leader in Global Human Resource Management and Organizational Development. Most recently, Rebecca served as the Vice President of People & Culture for a non-profit service agency and as Head of HR for a financial services start-up. She now functions as the Founder and CEO of AmaniHR, a boutique HR Consulting company with a mission to develop organizations by focusing on people.
Through AmaniHR, Rebecca serves as the HR Executive, Chief People Officer or HR Consultant for various small and medium-sized clients in Tampa Bay. She is energized by developing and maximizing an organization’s culture and helping team members become more effective and engaged. She has passion and experience in organizational change initiatives including mediation and conflict transformation, leadership development, corporate culture and diversity, equity and inclusion. She has managed all aspects of large-scale corporate restructures including a continent-wide reorganization involving 4000 employees in 26 countries. She is an expert mediator and conflict management professional.
Rebecca holds a master’s degree in Organizational Development and Design from Fielding Graduate University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Furman University. She is a Master Change Agent through GE’s Six Sigma, is certified as a Senior Certified Professional (SCP) through the Society of Human Resources Management, and leads courses for other HR professionals pursuing SHRM certification. She holds many certifications in personal, leadership and organizational assessments and training programs.
As a board-certified coach accredited through the International Coach Federation, Rebecca has an active coaching practice coaching executive level clients in many Fortune 50-500 companies, small start-ups and multi-national charities including General Electric, General Dynamics, Raymond James, and the American Heart Association. Combining her passion for people development and culture, Rebecca’s approach to coaching is to help clients focus on creating an environment where they feel emotionally engaged while successfully contributing to the organization’s strategy. Rebecca engages as a thought partner with clients to help them leverage their strengths and leadership skills to excel in their careers. She facilitates clients through individual awareness activities to help overcome real and imagined obstacles to achievement.
Rebecca has served in numerous leadership positions on non-profit boards where she champions the causes of women and children. She currently serves on the Shorecrest Preparatory School Board of Trustees. She is past Chair of the YWCA Tampa Bay Board of Directors, and President Emeritus of the Furman University Alumni Board of Directors. Rebecca’s favorite and most rewarding position is as the mom to eight-year-old son, Jackson.
